Amazon Army: 100 year celebration
Thousands of women marched in December 1921 to close area mines during a strike. This exhibit tells this story, which received national attention, and honors these women who marched to end unfair labor practices in local mines.

Department of Art Faculty: Recent Work
Highlights creative works produced by the current studio art faculty, showcasing a range of media that celebrates creative research and the art-making process. On display through April 30.

Eva Jessye, musician & actress
A pioneering Black musician, conductor, actress and author who spent time as a artist in residence at Pittsburg State University. Was a part of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s March on Washington. Exhibit includes photographs and artwork. Open through May 14.
Exhibit location: Bicknell Family Center for the Arts, 1711 S. Homer St., Pittsburg.

Ted Watts, Sports Artist & Illustrator
The local legend created portraits of 77 Heisman Trophy winners & countless Pittsburg State alum. His art hangs in the halls of fame for pro football, college basketball, and wrestling. Open through Spring semester.
Exhibit location: Special Collections & University Archives, in the lower level of the Leonard H. Axe Library at Pittsburg State, 1605 S. Joplin St., Pittsburg.
