Amazon Army: 100 year celebration
Thousands of women marched in December 1921 to close area mines during a strike. This exhibit tells this story, which received national attention, and honors these women who marched to end unfair labor practices in local mines.

A Series of Artistic Inspiration
Special exhibit is in partnership with the Black Student Association and features photos from PSU’s rich history.

Black History Month Book Display
The Black Student Association and Axe Library are celebrating Black History Month by highlighting books that will help readers reflect on Black history. Authors highlighted include Toni Morrison, Maya Angelou, and Bryan Stevenson.

Bootleggers versus Badges: The Law, The Liquor, The Lifestyle
Rich soil and traditions brought to the region by immigrants positioned Southeast Kansas to be a player in the wine industry. Then came state and federal Prohibition. Experience the many layers of bootlegging. Ends March.

Harry Krug: Collected Works
The namesake of this gallery, Krug’s art has been shown at major galleries and juried exhibitions throughout the U.S. and Europe. Known for his unique style of printmaking, including a technique called serigraphs, or silkscreen prints. Open through February 17.
Location: Harry Krug Gallery in Porter Hall at Pittsburg State.

Ted Watts, Sports Artist & Illustrator
The local legend created portraits of 77 Heisman Trophy winners & countless Pittsburg State alum. His art hangs in the halls of fame for pro football, college basketball, and wrestling. Open through Spring semester.
Exhibit location: Special Collections & University Archives, in the lower level of the Leonard H. Axe Library at Pittsburg State, 1605 S. Joplin St., Pittsburg.
