Walnut Days Labor Day Celebration

September 3

Celebrate small town rural life at Walnut Days held annually on the Saturday of Labor Day Weekend.

7a – 5K Fun Run (Registration at 6:30a at Walnut Hall);
9a – Car Show – North Main Street (Judging at 11a);
9a-12p – Free Cancer Screenings at Vulcan Masonic Lodge;
9a – Farmers Market & Vendors on Main Street;
10a – Parade;
After Parade – Baby Contest (registration begins at 9:14a at City Hall), Watermelon Feed at Mike Fox Memorial Yard, Kiddy Tractor Pull in front of the Post Office, free Kiddy Rides & Bounce Houses on Main Street, and free CKHH Farm Petting Zoo on South Main Street;
12p – Horseshoe Tournament at His & Hers Bar & Grill (Registration at 11a);
1p – Tractor Pull on west side of ball diamond;
1p – Greased Pig Chase at ball diamond;
2p – Egg Toss at ball diamond;
3p – Cornhole Tournament on Main Street (registration at 2:30p); and,
8p – Street Dance and Live Music with Cody M. Johnson Band.

Walnut Community Service Organization and Walnut Fire Department will have concessions for lunch on Main Street and at the Ball Diamond during the Tractor Pull. Hot Pink Heifer and Mojo Snow Cones will be available through the evening. Artistic Impressions by Angela will be set up throughout the day.
